Here is an unusual compact with a bowling theme on it. It was made by Pilcher and is stamped inside.

I believe this compact dates to the 1950s or 1960s. Some gal probably had with her for every league bowling night.

All the rhinestones on top are present. Two look like they may be turning or starting to turn, but you be the judge.

There are surface scratches on the front and back so you know selling this one was used and enjoyed. That said, I don't feel the surface scratches take away from the bowling pins and ball. I feel like you can hear someone crying out “Strike!” with the stripes on the front. Just a fun vibe to me.

It opens nicely. Inside the mirror is in tact and I find no crack. It is cloudy with age. You can see it is stamped Pilcher on the powder well top.

The original puff is inside along with powder remnants.

The well top has some brassing where the gold tone is worn off, but I don't see signs of corrosion anywhere on this compact.

It measures 3.25 inches in diameter.
