The Eveready Daylo with selling black base works. I put two D cell batteries in and it gave a faint glow. It could be that my batteries are too weak. The bubble lens has no cracks. The metal ring has a few tiny dings. The Eveready silver metal base has case number 2631. I couldn't get it to turn on. The bubble lens has no cracks. The metal is aged and pitted. They remind me of Scooby Doo flashlights.
