Rug Hooking PATTERN, Tulip Cross 28" x 40", a primitive design by Mary Johnson, selling Folk art Floral, hooked rug pattern, P128

This rug hooking pattern, "Tulip Cross" measures 28" x 40". It is from my design collection and is based on antique rugs and folk art with floral themes.

Hooked by my good friend, Linda, who decided on her background first...a collection of blues in various shades and textures. I love how the blues set off the rich reds and golds in this rug. Touches of purple, salmon, light neutrals and soft greens are perfect for making this rug so interesting. She hooked this with an 8 cut (1/4" wide strips).

The pattern is available on primitive selling linen or monks cloth. Care is taken to draw all straight lines on the grain line so that your rug will finish square. There is a 4" border surrounding the design. The outer raw edges of the foundation fabric have been serged to prevent raveling while hooking.
