Original letter selling sent home by WWI serviceman Gideon H. Diamon of Saranac Michigan,
to friend Lester Abbott. Dated March 19, 1919 from France with original cover included.
I am also including a second cover (no letter present).
Both covers have "passed by sensor" hand stamps and "soldier's mail" notation.

Gideon was a lifelong resident of Saranac.
The letter is 5 pages long and in VG condition.
Content includes army life, leaving for Marseilles, sick with bronchitis,
name dropping of other hometown friends, and most importantly, a note:
"it seems too good to be true that we are going home."

Grave photo and WWI service info NOT included, but the buyer is welcome to print them.
