After a busy day at my market stall, I'd just finished unloading the equipment from the car, when I could see that there was an enormous potential for a serious sunset. The day had been very humid and steamy, which is reasonably rare for Melbourne, and these conditions had continued into the evening. As it was late, I didn't have much time to find a location so headed to a local area I know very well. The colour in the sky was beginning to build when I arrived so it was race against time to finalise my composition. I'd photographed around these rocks before, but the combination of the low tide and still selling conditions exposed them in a way that was very much like the petals of a flower. Even though it was a rush, I managed to set up my gear and take this majestic shot before the best of the light disappeared.
