Create Your Own Mein Liebling antique reproduction doll with this charming blank doll kit.

This blank doll kit is prepared for being painted, stringed, wigged and derssed. She has been poured in Byron mold from Flumo then dried and finished by hand sanding and polishing

This blank doll kit is for making 30cm (12") doll. The head is marked "K * R Simon & Halbig 117"

Flumo is selfhardening ceramic slip which looks like a porcelain but can be painted with any kind of paint. I prefer to paint my Flumo dolls with soft pastels, watercolors and acrylics then I apply a protective layer of varnish. Doll on the last picture is my example and is not included.

Flumo is Non-toxic, has no shelf life, not waterproof.

Painting tips:
Blush the cheeks with with the soft pastels or your own blush and then lightly spray the area with Matt Spray Do the same for the nails, in between fingers, etc. For the eyes and eyebrows you can use acrylics or watercolors. Paint the entire eye white. Make sure it is very smooth and let it dry completely. Then paint the iris blue or brown...let it dry. Use a fine 20/0 liner and outline the eye and eyebrows...let dry. Use a 12/0 spotter and apply the iris color. Apply a dot of black for the pupil (I use the 10/0 sable spotter for that) Then....after all the colors are really, really dry take a fine straight pin and dip it into clear nail polish. Touch the pin in the center of the eye and it will seal the paint in it and make the eye look very real. If you mess up just remove the eye with nail polish remover and start all over again. Flumo parts are not waterproof. Don't wash it with water!

Clean with soft brush. Don't wash and don't use water for cleaning. Keep away from hot surfaces and/or naked flame.

Colours may be slightly different due to difference in monitors.
