The "Adjustable Ribbon Sizing Machine" was a child of necessity. My daughter is in the nut and candy business and asked me to cut 50-100 ribbons exactly 27 inches long for her packages. Options on the internet offered very expensive high tech machines that cost thousands of dollars. This machine is handmade and hand operated and very efficient in producing repeated cuts of ribbon for package and gift wrapping. The machine is based on the geometric formula of Pi D (C=D x 3.1416). For a 27 inch ribbon, we will need a 9 inch diameter wheel. The wheel is supported by two pylons and the ribbon supply supported by two other pylons. A crank allows turning of the wheel 15-30 times and with one cut you will get that many lengths of ribbon. Each wheel is adjustable within 3 inches.
