DATE MADE: 1863... From the rare Johnson Family Atlas printed in 1863. This original antique map was made and hand-colored 159 years ago. This is not a reproduction.

DESCRIPTION: original hand colored engraving on heavier paper, gorgeous decorative border

SHEET SIZE: about 14" X 18" including all margins.

CONDITION: Very good condition- no tears- there is a scattering of light scattered marks/foxing on the outside margins, with one spot of foxing on center selling of map area and a few other small dots of foxing on the map area.

SOURCE: 1863 Johnson's Family Atlas. This 1863 printing is an early-year printing and used 1862 map plates. Later year 1863 Johnson maps show a different decorative outside border.
