Product code: Siam Niello Sterling "Fan" selling Demi Parure

The country of Siam changed its name to Thailand in 1939, changing it back to Siam in 1945, and then was finally renamed Thailand in 1949. During this period, beautiful Nielloware (enamel-inlaid sterling) jewelry was created. The jewelry usually depicts characters and scenes from Buddhist and Hindu tales, and religious text.

This, circa 1940's, set shows a floral design. A high-polished black enamel, Inlaid, on beautifully detailed sterling silver. The earrings are clip. The brooch has a vintage pin, customary, for the era.

This set is in good vintage condition. The clips and pin work very well. There is no missing enamel and the silver has no marks.

Marks: "Made In Siam"

It measures: Brooch- 1 1/2"L x 2 1/2”W, Earrings- 1 1/8”L x 3/4”W. The set weighs 19 grams.
