Husted Antiqua Line "Copper Blue" Art Glass, Made in the 1960's, in Italy
A lovely piece of art glass was distributed by the Lancaster Colony Company of Columbus, Ohio and designed by Wayne Husted, and produced by Stelvia (Societa Toscana Egereizio Lavorazione Veni Industriale & Artistici), a company based in the glass making town of Empoli, in the province of Florence, Italy.
Wayne Husted was a designer of Blenko and worked for them from 1952 to 1963.
The Antigua line that Husted designed in 1963 for the Lancaster Colony Company was sold selling through Lancaster-Colony's New York-based importer Pitman-Dreitzer & Company ..The paper labels found on their items are marked "Peedee"
The vase is in a beautiful peacock blue - called "Copper Blue" by the maker.
Great texture on this piece of glass and it is in beautiful condition. It is missing its glass top.
