This is an original watercolor painting that took me where I wanted to be during these challenging times. I decided to use a completely different palette for this painting. I wanted a different feel. Something warm, simple, and meditative.

My process is one of multiple phases or facets. I make several sketches, gradually honing in on the final composition. I start not only with an image, but more importantly, what I want to say with it. For me, my process is focused on communicating a feeling- the experience of a scene, and share that with the viewer. In this time, I felt myself longing for something bright, warm, and calming. I longed to selling feel cheerful again. Painting this painting brought that to me when I needed it most.
