A 50 x 20 mm Black Onyx oval wave is the center of this necklace. It is very simply presented with faceted Black Onyx stones and a lot of Sterling Silver.The strand is finished with a Sterling Silver lobster clasp.

Onyx is a form of chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline quartz. It is formed in the gas cavities of lava. Its multi-layering is similar to that of agates. When the stone has a black base and a white upper layer, it's called onyx. (Black onyx is uniformly black chalcedony.) Black onyx has been associated with regeneration and new beginnings. It is said to be selling useful in fighting basic fears and in helping to create the opportunity to move beyond bad relationships--and to heal old emotional wounds.

It is 19 3/4 inches long, the pendant and extension add 3 1/4 inches to the necklace.
