Imi Knoebel, Von Alu Bis Zement (From Aluminum to Cement) selling 2017 Exhibition Poster

Poster made on the occasion of the 2017 exhibition at Museum Ritter, 'From Aluminum to Cement', featuring the work of Dusseldorf, Germany based artist, Imi Knoebel.

In 1991 Knoebel chose for the first time aluminium as the image carrier selling when he made his piece Sweet Baby Jane, and with that questioned numerous aspects of the traditional concept of the panel painting. This composition, made of coloured painted metal profiles placed in several layers on top of one another, straddled the extremes of industrial and craft manufacture, of motif and frame, and of two-dimensional picture and three-dimensional object.
