Antique late Victorian solid silver table salt in the Georgian style. In 800 standard silver, the boat shaped form with gadrooned rim and stepped foot. With a Bristol Blue glass liner, probably a replacement.
Marked to the base with "800" for 800 standard silver and the moon and crown standard marks.
Maker´s mark "J.K." with a swan, for Johann S. Kurz, Hanau, Germany.
Germany circa 1900.

Exterior 10cm x 7.5cm. In inches 3 7/8" x 3".
Interior 8cm x 6cm. In inches 3 2/8" x 2 1/2".
A good antique copy of an English georgian salt! In good antique condition. The blue glass liner is very probably a replacement.
The maker was working from the 1870s
