I've painted this red and black/blue butterfly on a original page from a vintage book (1947) from Slovenia about the theatre.
I've added gold leaf, as you can see in the first four pictures! A blade of grass in gold.
The paper is carefully glued on pressed wood.
The wood is first prepared with gesso / gypsum, so moist can't get through.
This artwork is a unique piece and selling is suited to hang on the wall or can stand on for example, a shelf.
