Dante Gabriele Rosetti (1828-1882) was an English poet, illustrator and member of the Rossetti family, remembered for founding the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and inspiring the likes of William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. His poetry and art were often interwoven, writing sonnets to accompany his artwork and vice versa. He married Elizabeth Siddal, who was considered a muse for Pre-Raphaelite painters.
