ANRI Wood Carving 'Bacchus'

The wood sculpture features a young naked Bacchus astride barrel, crowned with vine leaves and holding a cluster of grapes and wine goblet. The carving is a joking reminder of the dangers of drunkenness.

This sculpture was carved from a single block of wood. Every single cut was worked by hand and every detail carefully hand brushed with special transparent oil based colors. Stands 5" tall x 1-3/4" wide x 2" long. I am unsure if this is by ANRI.

Likely made circa 1980-1990. In Very Good vintage condition.
