Sheepskins are a natural, renewable and sustainable resource unlike their synthetic faux look-a-likes.
All of the sheepskin products we offer for sale are not raised for their hides alone. The sheep products we offer for sale are used for their milk, meat and fiber.
✅No harmful chemicals including Formaldehyde & Chromium are never used in the tanning process
✅ Our Sheepskins are not heavily deodorized as many cheaper inferior sheepskin rugs are
✅ Our sheepskins are not dyed! One of the most toxic things that can be avoided if consumers demand natural colored products.
✅ Our sheepskin rugs are never from China, which you can buy super cheap online and at most big box retailers if that's your thing...
We've put a lot of thought selling into the colors used to photograph out sheepskin pelts so you can get the best idea of its' natural color before you buy your sheepskin rug. All photos are taken in natural lighting and no edits are made to any sheepskin photos. The color of the walls are Magnolia Gaines "Gatherings", the upholstery coloring is a natural off white bull denim and the throw pillows are a white with a neutral design. Natural white sheepskins are never a pure white color! They range from an off white, cream, ivory, many with a tinge of yellow or beige cast which is the sheep's natural lanolin.
Sheepskins do smell slightly sheepy just as a damp cashmere sweater has a distinct scent. The higher the humidity the more noticeable the scent will be.
Every single sheepskin is unique with no two ever being alike. This is the reason we take our time to photograph and measure each individual sheepskin offered for sale so you can see exactly what you're buying.
The chair photo is provided so you can compare other sheepskins and their wool's loft or thickness.
“Sheepskin rug” is the term used to describe a sheepskin pelt and not to be confused with exclusively being suitable for the floor. Use is only limited by your imagination!
Safe sheepskin processing, and treatment, are utilized. The tannery we source from does not use the detrimental chromium which is harmful to your health. All tanning agents used in the tanning and finishing process meets essential European Union directives concerning the environmental preservation & protection. This is more strict than the USA guidelines.
