One of a kind enamel drop earrings. These will look great with both casual and dressy outfits.

The enamel components contain different shades of teal and turquoise blues in my "Coastal Shallows" colour palette. I used opaque colors layered over each other which result in unusual variations of the base colors as well as adding glass beads to add contrast.

To make the earrings, I file and form the copper metal base to ensure a pleasing selling curve. For these earrings, I added two layers of counter-enamel (black) on the reverse side for strength and durability, then add multiple layers of colour on the front. This adds an organic look to the final pieces. These pieces have approximately 4 layers of color and effect on the front. After enameling, I hand-make the sterling silver drop components and hoop wire and assemble.

Each combination of colors and the outcome from the kiln-firing is unique.

They are about 2 1/2 inches total length from the top of the sterling silver ear-wires to the bottom of the enameled component.

Enamel is glass fused to a base metal, so please treat these earrings as precious and handle and store carefully so they last for decades!
