This mug is made from beautiful black-speckled stoneware clay! I hand-painted a tumbling wreath of flowers, berries and leaves with individually mixed underglazes. Completely handmade and hand painted (by me) and sturdy for everyday use. selling Would also make a fab gift.

CARE: I suggest hand washing, but mugs are dishwasher, microwave and food safe.

PROCESS: I make my pieces from clay slabs, by hand. This mug was layered with several coats of underglaze so that the color would be strong. The mug was fired and touched up as needed, and then several coats of clear satin matte glaze were applied inside and out before the final firing.
