Antique CAPODIMONTE PUTTI CHERUB Jewelry/Powder Box w/ Lid ~ White Porcelain Trinket Container selling w/ Hand Painted Playing Angel Relief Figures

We're pleased to offer an exquisite antique Capo di Monte porcelain jewelry or powder box with lid, made in Italy. This round container features a raised relief design of putti or cherubs, flowers and trees. The little playing angels are intricately hand painted with accents of gold gild. The handle knob to the lid is a sitting cherub as well. The inside is glossy white, so is the bottom of the dish. It is written in gold underneath "ITALY, 856" and has a gold Capodimonte five point crown over the "N".

The jewelry box is 5.75" in diameter and 4.25" tall with the cherub handle. It is in excellent vintage condition - there is no chipping, scratches, selling cracks or repairs present. The gold gild has some common age related wear and fading, especially at the trim of the bowl and lid. Please see pictures for overall condition and details.

This is a rare collectible lidded porcelain dish to display on a dresser or vanity, to hold jewelry or small valuables. It would make a wonderful gift for a birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day or Valentine's Day.
