Great vintage one-gallon oyster tin with lid. White with bright red and blue design. The back features three separate recipe ideas for fixing oysters, fried, stewed, and oyster cocktail. Includes the lid which is marked, Oysters Standards. From the Curley Packaging Company, Colonial Beach, Virginia.

In overall good condition. Comes straight from the basement storage of a small town grocery dating back to the early 1900s. The tin could use a gentle cleaning and perhaps would brighten up a bit. See photos for details. Would make a nice display piece.
