This gorgeous handspun yarn duo is handpainted in shades of red, blue, gray and purple. Next-to-skin soft, these cuddly skeins would make a lovely cowl or beautiful woven fabric. Falkland wool is very versatile, and can be used in a variety of project types. Makes a great gift for a knitter or weaver.

Falkland is a strong, soft fiber from the Falkland Islands in the Southern Atlantic. It is not a specific breed, but rather grown to a specification and blended. The wool is as close to being organically grown as you can get without official certification. The climate on the Islands allows the sheep to be raised without pesticides, and no mulesing is practiced there. Falkland wool is 24-28 microns; a soft and squishy yarn suitable for next-to-skin projects.
