Product code: Antique John selling Maddock White Razor Box
Listing is for a very charming piece of Staffordshire pottery in the form of a razor or toothbrush box. The white ironstone box has simple decoration contained to the handle, rope tied to a moor.
There are predrilled holes on edges, which leads me to think it's for a toothbrush, but then the interior notches are shaped like a mustache.
About 8.75” long and 3.5” deep. Height is about 3”
Stamped John Maddock mark as well as an impressed “75” mark. Circa 1906+.
Excellent condition with age appropriate wear. A slight loss along the rim, but really a chip or detrimental to appearance. A couple of fractures on the moor. selling
