10 Vintage 1960's MID CENTURY DOROTHY THORPE Pretzel Knot Crystal Clear Acrylic Lucite Napkin Rings. This whimsical, yet sophisticated, set of 10 napkin rings circa 1960's were designed by the mid-century American sculpture, artist, designer who was born in 1901, Dorothy Thorpe, she started her career working with class, and later started experimenting with lucite. Each elegant napkin ring features a cylindrical twisted pretzel knot shape, which Dorothy Thorpe was known for, made with a crystal clear / translucent acrylic lucite. They came from my grandmother's collection, in gentle pre loved selling, vintage condition.
