1800s antique photo frames of embossed rusty metal and tinfoil, Victorian selling photos, small ornate frames, shabby chic wall decor
Pair of small antique tin photo frames with original antique photos.
Germany, 19th century.
The frames are in lovely time worn condition.
They are made of embossed metal and richly ornated (on the top we can recognize a cherub). Originally the metal was gilded, now it has a cute rusty patina with few traces of gold tone.
The middle part of the frame is made of a silver tinfoil that was originally painted in red, as can be seen in the parts not exposed to light.
The back is made of cardboard (one is decorated with imitation wood) and has a slot in which to insert the photo.
Contained within the frames are two antique photographs, each selling depicting a lady.
In my photos you can see the back of a pic, with the name of the photo studio in Erding, Bavaria.
