selling I was immediately drawn to these gorgeous, antiqued reproduction Dzi agate beads with the dramatic contrast of the brown background and white lettering. Once I started playing with other beads to go with the Dzi, it all fell together in these two bracelets that had to be sold as a set. The stretch bracelet is all Dzi agate and amazing black/brown palm wood with the simple addition of the twisted Karen Hill Tribe silver wire spacers. The accent bracelet incorporates large and smaller bone beads, the palm wood, beautiful large Karen Hill Tribe silver stamped spacers, twisted wire spacers and a nice "squash" bead. For a hint of soft color, I added a pale blue African glass chevron. Three charms dangle from the sterling silver branch toggle clasp - a long Karen Hill Tribe silver leaf, a bone and Dzi beaded charm, and a beautiful Larimar nugget with sterling silver bead caps. The Larimar shares the same sky blue as the African chevron bead in the bracelet.

Ancient Dzi beads were often used in India, Tibet and other Asian countries as protective amulets, and were usually scarred or pitted where they were ground off for use in traditional medicines.

Whether worn separately, or together, these earthy and grounding bracelets will make a statement.
