Rare Antique Victorian Crosse & Blackwell Advertising Jar | Antique White Ironstone English Advertising Pot for selling Anchovy Paste or Mustard
This is a listing for a rarely seen barrel shaped advertising pot for Crosse & Blackwell, dating from around 1900
This is a lovely clean example selling of a rarely seen English advertising pot. On the front is a fabulous logo for the Crosse & Blackwell which features the Royal Warrant, meaning the company supplied the Royal household. The transfer is very clear.
Considered a piece of throwaway packaging at the time, this was dug from an old Victorian dump. Therefore, it does have a small chip to its top rim and some age marks and crazing in places too. However, considering its history, the pot is actually very clean and is otherwise in very good condition.
