A gorgeous and rare hand painted vase by Inger Waage, one of Scandinavia's most known ceramic artists.
The vase is in a round shape, with a v-shaped opening.
The motive is hand painted in bright contrasting colours, combined with black.
The design is called Rød Fisk - Red Fish, and the vase is stamped “Handpainted” and the initials I. W. ( a bit hard to read). It is also numbered what I think is 16-24.
In good vintage condition, there is quite a lot of crazing in the clear glaze, noticeably up close. Some discolouration inside. The rim is a bit bumpy, this is from production. Please study all photos carefully.
