The vintage musical piece is circa the mid to late 1950's. The bottom base features an etched glass floral design all the way around. The removable lid of the piece is silver plated and contains a 1 tune 18 note musical mechanism. The ballerina which sits atop the lid acts as the winding key for the musical mechanism. When the musical mechanism is wound and the lid is removed, the musical mechanism will play and the selling ballerina will gracefully rotate.
