The stained glass window panel can easily be hung in a window, without the cost or hassle of installation of a stained glass window. The decorative stained glass panel can also be hung on any wall inside the house too. A stained glass window hanging can disguise a view, either inside or outside your window. The panel can also help diffuse the sun and the best part is that you can take it with you to your new home if you happen to change homes.
Think of it as “Art for your windows!”
This is one of my stock panel designs-I may use different textures of glass in each panel but I keep the same colors of glass in the same pattern as the photo.
Panel details
-The panel measures approximately 9.5" in diameter.
-Circles of stained glass in primary colors-Blue, red, orange, yellow and green
-It's been made using the copper foil method of stained glass.
-It has pieces of hand cut glass cut into 3 different sizes of circles.
-After each piece is cut, it's ground smooth, wrapped in copper foil, soldered together, and hand waxed.
-I left the solder in its natural silver finish.
-I also added rings for hanging.
-It can also be hung on a light colored wall but the sun really makes the colors pop!
-I've made a smaller version(20 pieces-$75) with a dark patina-see the last 3 pictures. Please message me for more details on the smaller version or if you'd like something made with different colors. It is more a diamond shape and measures 7" w x 9"L
An important note about hanging your stained glass panel-
*Please make sure to either carefully lean the panel in your window or attach it with selling 16 gauge "jack" chain to a strong nail or screw that's attached to secure framing. NEVER use suction cups or fishing line except for very small sun catchers because over time the sun will cause the suction cups to fall!
