A very nice Batik from Indonesia made by hand with a Cap or Stem, an intricate large copper stamp used to repeatedly apply wax to the cloth. It is not made by mechanically printing selling onto the cotton.

From Central Java, this one is mustard yellow background with white, green and black. It is in very good condition on good strong cotton.

A Kain is a piece of material about 2 or a bit more metres in length. This one is 104cm high by 246cm long.

A superb example of Indonesian batik.
