This charming ornate antique French jewelry box is lined and quilted in red silk. The box is in a metal- perhaps pewter which had been gilded - the gilding is now worn to selling reveal the grey metal underneath. At the centre of the top of the hinged lid is a picture of the Arc de Triomphe. The lid closes perfectly.
