Holmegaard "krydder snaps" (Spiced schnapps) Carafe Elderberry, rare collectible, selling Michael Bang Danish vintage design

Holmegaard "Spiced Schnapps" series was designed by Michael Bang in the early 1980´es.
The series consists of carafes with many different berries and spices, depicted on both sides.
One side in bloom, or just berfore blooming, and one side in full bloom er with the berries of the plant.

The bottles are meant for homemade Snaps. This one is Sambucus nigra, otherwise know as elderberry.
It is an old tradition in Denmark, to spice your own snaps, for the various seasons of selling the year, with herbs and berries.

This old mouth blown glass has a tendency to get "glass plague", which is the whitening of the inside of the glass, and can never be removed, as it is a chemical reaction in the glass.

This carafe is like new, looks un used, no damage what so ever.

The Carafe measures 18 cm tall and 7 x 10,5 cm in diameter.
