Four Seasons Vintage selling Kimono Silk Scarf

Heavy vintage kimono silk scarf in shades of ivory, black, red, and green featuring traditional seasonal plants. The plum blossom represents spring, the chrysanthemum summer, the maple leaf autumn, and the pine winter. The hand-painted motif is outlined in real gold paint. The heavy weight of this luxurious silk makes it an excellent autumn or winter scarf.

I got inspired to create these scarves when a friend gave me pieces of vintage kimono silk. I love color and selling the beautiful silks begged to be made into one-of-a-kind scarves. I spend hours playing with the silk pieces to design scarves that showcase the integrity of the fabrics. Then, I lovingly sew them on my mother's 1942 Singer sewing machine.
