Pair of Dinner Trays, Silver Plate, Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen, Wilkens Bremen, Sectional selling Dishes, On Board Tableware, Nautical Memorabilia

On offer is this lovely collectible pair of trays / sectional dishes. They're in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable scuffs and scratches all over them commensurate with age and usage as well as a number of shallow dents over the recessed areas which catch the light but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the duo.

They're of traditional form, plain in design yet elegant in appearance. They feature four recessed areas and around their border edge is a maritime badge for the "Norddeutscher Lloyd" shipping company of Bremen, Germany and would've been used on-board an ocean liner as food serving trays.

Both are marked for Wilkens of Bremen, Germany.

They measure 30.5cm (12 inches) by 21cm (8 adn 1/4 inches) - outer measurements - and stack neatly together.

A lovely unusual pair of nautical tableware ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
