This is a set of three small pieces handcrafted in the 60's and 70's by Bill Vinton of Deer Country Kiln in Maine.
Bill lived at Kezar Lake in Lovell, Maine where he used nature to create these unique pieces. Bill used rocks from the area and would lay a plant on the rock then cover with his clay/slip let it dry then paint and fire.
These dishes are approximately 4” to 4.5” are in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Largest with a pink flower is signed Vinton and on the back has Deer Country Kiln.
Smaller with a clover is signed Vinton and on back has Deer Country Kiln.
Smallest with a fern leaf is not signed on front and back selling has Deer Country Kiln but is very light and not as clear as the others.
These pieces fit in the palm of hand and stack inside one another.
Would be great as salt and spice dishes or just vintage decor.
