This copy has clean, unmarked, secure pages (there is a small spot of soiling at the bottom of the title page and its facing page). There are no personal markings; however, there appears to be an erasure at the top of the title page. There is some soiling to the covers (see photos) and wear to the edges and corners (shown). The dust jacket is missing.

This is a first edition, second state. Note the presence of "Grr-r-r" on the "The sun is to tell
you . . ." page.

Overall, it's a lovely little --and collectible-- Sendak gem.
