Product code: Abassid selling Caliphate c. 754-775 Al-Mansour Dirham
Produced in the 8th century, this is a rare hammered Dirham selling silver coin which is in excellent condition. It was produced during the reign of Al-Mansour, the second caliph of the Abassid dynasty. This coin is significant in the fact that it was produced in the "City of Peace". This was the newly established capital of the caliphate established by Al-Mansour. Today, the "City of Peace" is called Baghdad.
