Leaf Painted Earthenware Pitcher, 3-1/2 selling qts.

selling The pitcher is made of white earthenware clay fired to about 1900°F. The painting was done with colored slip washes. The background is a very light green wash. The leaves are painted with darker washes of various colors . the outlining was done with black Amaco velvet underglaze, mostly brushed. The whole pitcher is coated with a clear gloss boron glaze.

The pitcher is 10" high and 7" in diameter. It wheighs 5lbs 5ozs without packing. It holds 3-1/2 + quarts.
