selling 050823-5B This is a Victorian glass pedestal compote dish featuring a double row of stars on the skirt. The rim flares out ever so slightly, telling us this was made as an open compote. This pattern is aptly named Starred Block and was manufactured by Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton. This particular pattern dates to c. 1888. There is a tiny chip along the bottom rim but it is well hidden amongst the pattern. There are the typical bubbles and one straw mark to the interior base of the bowl.
