Rare Vintage Red Pail Brand Pastry Filling Bucket, 1950s Advertising Pail, Joseph Middleby Inc, Wood Handle, Boston Mass, Gift selling for Him

This listing is for an incredible Rare Vintage Pie Filling Bucket from the 1950s, I suspect. The awesome big bucket held 38 pounds of 'Red Pail Brand Pastry (Pie) Filling. You can see from the photos that the pail is in nice vintage condition considering it's age. The cherry-red paint is mostly intact with some small areas of corrosion. The paper label on the front shows signs of wear and some discoloration but overall, is easily legible. It states 'Red Pail Brand Pastry Pie Filling by the Middle B Co, Joseph Middleby Jr Inc, est 1870, Boston Mass.'
The bucket is strong and does not leak. It has a heavy wire bale with a wooden handle for easy lifting. The inside of the pail has most of it's brass colored finish with some areas of rust and corrosion. The lid is scratched a lot on the underside with much of the brass finish worn off and rust having moved in. The outside of the lid is corroded. The bucket stands 11.5 inches tall and is 12.5 inches across the opening. Overall, this bucket has a lot of appeal and would make a great addition to any vintage home decor collection, for use as garden decor, or for displaying a beautiful spray of flowers, shafts of wheat, etc. This piece has a tremendous amount of character and would be enjoyed by any lover of advertising items.
