Hand designed using a hard clay, then molded into a hard copy plaster, then cast into my own hand made mold using a fine sand and cement mix, then hand colored using a mix of mineral concrete color, then hand detailed using fine metal instruments, then hand finished using a water based sealer for an authentic look and feel. I designed this big guy in the fall of 2015 and I named him Ocean, which is very fitting since he is a sea turtle. Each design as its challenges and Ocean was no exception. I spent several weeks working and re working him using large chunks of clay and the finest dental like tools to carve out each and every crevice in his shell, flippers and body. I am very proud of my finished selling sculpture, but sculpting him was daunting. Ocean will bring long life and good luck to your home or garden.He looks great in a garden filled with lots of greenery, a rock garden with a water feature, in a wooded lot,next to a wooden or metal fence, on a veranda or porch,etc. A unique gift for a gardener, the turtoise lover, an aunt, couple,housewarming,etc. Measures "16"Hx"12"Wx"2"D and weighs approx. 20 lbs.
