Who has carried a Judith Leiber purse? First ladies Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Ms. Barbara Bush, and Clinton to name a few. Ms. Leiber excelled in design, workmanship, and materials.

This is her black fabric quilted bag. The drop on the strap is 14.5". That is the measurement from the top of the strap to the top of the bag. The metal appears gold but is probably brass. There is quilting on the front and back. It is smooth on the bottom and has feet to protect it from wear. The bag is a shiny satin with low sheen. It is darker than most of the pictures. We lightened the photos so that you could see the detail.

This designer bag is in excellent condition. There are no breaks or tears. The inside is lovely. The corners are intact. This bag was well cared for and stored with tissue inside it.

There is a 5.5" open pocket inside and a 5" zippered pocket as well.

There are still a lot of years in this quality handbag.

Measurements: It is 8.75" wide and 6" high from the bottom seam to the top of bag frame. The closure flap is held by a push to release mechanism. It is 4" wide.
