Product code: Vintage selling Inuit Doll, Canadian Indigenous Folk Art, Cloth, Fur
This is an absolutely wonderful example of an Inuit cloth doll. Made for the selling tourist trade by the indigenous people of Arctic Canada. This incredible piece of folk art shows traditional Inuit dress complete with authentic fur trim (unsure of type), felt mittens on a yarn cord, and mukluks. Has a tag inside the parka that states it is "handmade my Canadian Eskimos". This doll is completely soft and has no structure to stand on it's own (would need a stand). Not a play item intended for young children - high quality display piece.
Measurements: 13" tall x 8 1/2" wide (armspan).
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. One very small spot on one of the sleeves - see photo.
