Antique LARGE Transferware Pitcher. BEAUTIFUL earthenware pitcher with a teal colored transferware pattern of morning glories, acanthus leaves and ribbons. The TEAL TRANSFERWARE is very RARE. It was seldom used during this period. Highly collectible!
The pitcher was made by R.S.R., Ridgway, Sparks and Ridgway, Bedford Works Shelton, Stoke-Upon-Trent, England in the 1870's. The pattern name is Alexandra. It is marked on the bottom, R. S. R.
Size: 14" H. 24.75" circumference. 8.5" handle to end of spout. It weighs 5 pounds. It is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. A few small manufactoring flaws only.
This beautiful pitcher could be displayed as a showpiece in your home, or added to your transferware collection. It is just gorgeous!
