1940 Underwood "Deluxe Leader" selling Portable Typewriter ~ Model # 332963 ~ Black Metal ~ Glass Keys

Black "Deluxe Leader" Underwood portable manual typewriter, made in Canada by Elliott Fisher Ltd. The serial number, located inside the carriage, E1332963, dates this typewriter to 1940. Prior to this date this model was known as the E model. The carriage is all metal, finished in a matte black with two high gloss black stripes accenting the carriage door. All of the original glass keys are present. In good, working condition; the C, J and V keys are askew but type the right side up, carriage and other mechanisms appear to work well, the "8" key is sticky, no carrying case, minor wear, as photographed selling. Comes with used ribbon but it will need replacing as the type is faint.
