A pair of vintage silver cufflinks suitable for a lady or a gentleman, slight octagon shape with a Mother of Pearl button to the centre and stitched with silver wire, there is a gold circle applied around the edge of the button and this gives selling a nice contrast against the silver and the white Mother of pearl, the edges of the silver rim are decorated with a circle and line pattern. The back plate is a spearpoint oval in shape and is ribbed on the outer edge, the ribbing is important as it gives excellent grip, the connecting chains are in very good condition with no wear.
Hallmarked in four places to the soldered links attached to the front plate and the back plate of each cufflink, these are badly applied and are basically unreadable but are almost certainly French in origin as there is a back stamp to each of the standard marks.
As usual with all my items, clean but not polished and comes in a nice box.
