Vintage Greek Evzone Ceremonial Guard Doll. This was probably a souvenir doll and is in excellent condition! The Evzonoi were several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army. Today, they are the members of the Presidential Guard, selling a ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Mansion in Athens. This would be a great addition for any collector! Appears this may date about 1920's-1930's but I am not a doll expert and it could be newer. The face is either paper mache or Celluloid? Again I am not 100% sure but it does not look nor feel like plastic. The doll measures 15" inches tall. The face is just adorable and this would be nice to display or add to your collection.
