Antique books. Pair of French antique books.
Here we have a lovely pair of Antique French books.
These books are in the French language.
The books are by Voltaire and are numbered on the spine 1 and 2. One book has the date for 1830. They are both quarter bound in leather They show signs of wear as you would expect on books nearly two hundred years old. There is some minor discolouration here and there inside but nothing too bad, I have tried to show this in one of the photos. There are marks to the front of the books where the dreaded sticky labels were removed.
A lovely old pair of books with some splendid marbled paper decoration inside and nice gilded titles on the leather spines.
Really interesting books for adding to a collection and lovely for adding that antique look to your bookshelf.
